Watkins Glen track weekend for my birthday!
Best weekend ever except for the 7 cars that crashed. My favorite track in the northeast.
My Emira finally tracked without going into limp mode. Lotus has done an amazing job when everything works. I ran 2 minutes 14 seconds in 57 degrees, but 3 seconds added at 71 degrees. Heat is the enemy, which is why I relocated my valve controller because I didn’t use my stock diffuser, by a performance shop.
The actuator has to be connected to the valve – which limits it’s articulation. So, if the actuator isn’t connected to a valve, it just keeps spinning and setting a CEL. Had to modify the old valve and fabricate a bracket to mount it to the chassis. Now, the actuator opens and closes the valve, but it is all mounted away from the exhaust.
Car got more attention than any other car and met the guys from Every Day Driver.
Todd has over 16,000 miles on his Emira.

Can I ask which shop did this relocation for you?

I'm also looking for a solution to relocate the stock valve controller.
