This is a brilliant idea, but I'd suggest a trivial option to this: add a blank side so you can chose have a single side only (which depends on how you configure it). In my case I'd leave the bottle in the generally-empty passenger side.

Gonna wait for info on the blank variant but wanted to see if anyone has used this alongside KitKats open shifter mod with the cage/mesh delete?

Wondering if the lack of cage will cause issues with the mount moving.
