Figure I'd post this here as I'm keeping an eye out on who is getting PPF done and where, pricing, products, etc.

    • Pro Kit - $1800 (front bumper/partial hood)
    • Touring - $3k (full front)
    • Touring Plus - $3400 (full front/track pack)
    • Full - $8500
  • Frisco Tint - $3000 just for front end using LLumar
  • Shell Shocked Wraps (STEK or XPEL)
    • $5800 whole car (custom hood, rest is pattern)
    • $6500 whole car (custom)
    • $1950 Full Front Custom (+$450 for track pack)

Have you had yours done at Color Factory yet? Interested to hear your thoughts on them and the quality. $4700 for full car and ceramic coating seems a lot cheaper than the other places.

Dropping it off on the 14th so will let you know. Already saw his work on another Emira, so was pretty confident in the work.

Humble Crew Auto Spa - Carrollton (Bulk Cut)
Uses Suntek can use other films at request. Full car $7000

DFW Clear Bra - Carrolton (Plotter)
Uses STEK. Full car $6000
**Previously had my Type R wrapped by them and was satisfied, but considering elsewhere this time.

@Shyatic I may have to check out Color Factory -- do they use a plotter or bulk?

He does partial bulk for certain areas (hood and some others) and then extended pattern for others. All edges are wrapped.

If you’re willing to wait I can give you my feedback when he’s done with my car.

Nice summary. I already did mine, but consider having PPF for the vents in the rear end (i.e. where you can look directly through them and see the tires). I did this and helps a lot.

NTX Clear Bra - $5,000 full-car. Super nice guy and very reputable with tons of reviews. This is who I'm going with; dropping the car off on Friday.

NTX uses Suntek products. Better warranty support, same thickness and hydrophobic properties.

I was so curious to find out the difference in sheen between STEK's DYNOmatte and Suntek Ultra Matte PPF, so I had a sample of both applied. STEK is on the left, Suntek is on the right. I also compared using clear PPF vs black PPF on the black trim. Black PPF will give you a deeper shade of black. Below are a couple videos.

I'm not going with matte, going with a clear STEK install since I love the color of my car. I got the body colored roof so if I ever want the "black pack" I can just install black PPF on the roof and get the same result :)

Prefer it without the black pack though! I added NTX to the master list as well.

Yeah, If I had to do it over again I suppose I'd have gotten the non-black pack but I wanted the black tips & badging as well.

Glad you aren't doing matte... hopefully I'll be the only one in North Texas with a matte/satin one :)

Did Earth Motor Cars give you any trouble about not getting PPF or ceramic from them when you picked it up?

I had Dallas do my PPF great job
They have an arrangement with XPEL
It is done at Earth. They have an enclosed booth at their building next door. Xpel people come out by appointment and do it there.
My car was the first one they had done and they did a great job. They also did the window tinting and clear film sun protection on windshield. 98% UV

I had the dealer put it on the front, mirrors, and rear wheel well. Forgot the name but was told it is the only PPF warranted by Lotus. Once I have the product name and details, I will post. They flew someone in from Tennessee to do it (here at the N.C. Dealer). Cost was $2200.00. You literally cannot see it at all except the wheel well, but can feel the edges where the metal starts. Great job. Looking at some of the prices people have posted, I think I got a great deal.

FYI Lotus has nothing to do with PPF they do not warrant it.
PPF is warranted by the company the produces it. Or your specific dealer does.
Xpel has a 10 year warranty against defect, peeling, bubbling.
Personally that is important to me and was will to pay a little more than others
Had 4 cars done with Xpel over the years and never had a problem
Cost me for full front, mirrors, head lights, side rocker panels, window tint and roof $4,650.00

Suntek & STEK also have 10-year warranties, and offer a much better film with less aggressive (possibly paint damaging) adhesion and better optical clarity.
