Custom-Bodied 1970 Lotus Europa on Bring A Trailer

I thought this was an interesting auction that was worth sharing. Sorry, I didn't find it before the auction was over.

This 1970 Lotus Europa was acquired by the current owner in 2005 as a non-running project and modified over multiple years with custom polished aluminum bodywork. The engine was replaced with a 2.0L Zetec DOHC inline-four controlled by an Emerald K3 ECU, and the front suspension was changed to a tubular chromoly setup with a larger front sway bar and Wilwood disc brakes. The car also features AVO adjustable coilovers, Panasport-style 13″ alloy wheels, a riveted aluminum fuel tank, a plexiglass windscreen, and a dual exhaust system with a long-tube header and Borla muffler. This modified S2 Europa is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a California title.

Lol this write-up reminds me of the old joke about the farmer who was bragging about an axe he'd had for years. He said he replaced the head twice, and the handle 3 times, but it's been a great axe.
