I’ve got a shadow gray with yellow calipers, and want to paint the engine cover yellow too, but can’t seem to find the color code for that yellow. It’s not hethel yellow.

Cant help with the paint code but your Emira looks badass! Yellow seatbelts would be a great addition here.

It's the yellow in the Lotus logo, which is I believe in their media kit with Pantone and RGB values.

Do they have a code for the red calipers? I'd like to paint my supercharger cover red.

Thanks for the comments. I’m replacing the yellow nose badge and yellow wheel covers with black ones. So the yellow contrast is only on calipers and engine cover. I like the suggestion about yellow belts though, seems like a cool addition, although not entirely sure how it will end up looking. I photoshop all my changes before doing them, so I can “see” the final product before I go for it. This is how I chose to remove the LOTUS lettering from the rear. The car looks so much better without the letters at the back. Also makes it more unique as nobody really knows what it is (specially with having black badges).

Found the color, LY1C Imola. However the dealer told me if I removed the engine cover that would void the warranty. So… i’ll see if I can paint without removing

Purely out of curiosity, I wonder how they would know whether you did or didn't remove the cover in order to paint it?

I think the cover probably has torque marks on the bolts (those green marks) which won't line up just right if uninstalled/reinstalled. Simple cosmetic mods like that shouldn't void the warranty. That's so silly.

But then what if an authorised mechanic needed to remove the engine cover? Etc. Again, just curious. It's how my brain works, always "testing" systems, and looking for loopholes. 😄

Hi, did you end up buying the paint and can I ask how it matched and did you buy a heatproof version?
