I have been tracking this also, haven't seen any. I had the HRE FF11 on my 911 and they were show stoppers. It's too bad they don't make the FlowForm's for the Emira's. Believe me, I have asked.

These can''t be real HREs. These go for $3850 USD for each wheel
The Chinese writing on the box in the pic above should have been the first hint. HRE is located in the greater San Diego CA area. The reason they are so expensive (besides their extensive wheel manufacturing and design experience) is because they are in fact made stateside.

I want to move up to 21's, so the FlowForm's were immediately discounted. I didn't realize they didn't make any 20" fitments? They really don't have design I would be interested in, anyway. A client of mine has 21" HRE's (S101SC) on his Emira (V6), but wanted to see if there were any other Emira's here with them.

Important to note that HRE has had to revise their misleading “made in USA” marketing language over the past few years.

The actual forgings and forging process (whether it be the entire wheels, faces, or barrels) are all done by a supplier in Taiwan - all HRE does in the US is mill the blanks. The flowform wheels are entirely from Taiwan (however their marketing will never let you know that. They don’t even mill those wheels here!)

For the prices they charge and their marketing you’d think the blanks and forging are done in the USA…

If you ask HRE to send you a video of the forging process of their wheels - they won’t or the video will be in Taiwan lol.

A more reputable company like BBS Motorsport does the entire process in house.

After having enough people call them out on it they did finally remove their “Made in USA” marketing lines but the language they use is still misleading imo

I think anyone considering HREs is fine with all of that and they want the clout of spending 4k per wheel. I think HRE is unmatched in their ability to make a visually stunning wheel but in the end you're paying 10x as much for a forged blank to get CNCed in the US rather than in Asia and that's a hard pill to swallow. For the money I'd expect them to be die forged and come with a lifetime steep discount replacement warranty.

Ive already researched some aftermarket rims and hard to find faces that fit with appropriate offsets. Ive had my wheel guy research Work Wheels, BBS and Rays/Volks. Even with sending in my caliper measurements, none of the models I would want will not fit our calipers or match desired offsets. Ugh.

I could consider custom forged like Avant Garde, Brixton or HREs but i dont really want to spend that kind of coin for wheels….lol

I just ordered a set of Aerie v2’s and will save around 23 lbs total and will not have to use spacers with that conversion. And Jason@Aerie gave me an awesome price point including UPS shipping.

There's honestly not a lot of popular wheel designs with the Emira that fit stock offsets and clear the brakes. Most of the time people want concavity or a wheel with some lip which is going to be a problem without offsets in the low 30s or even more aggressive.

What you have to look at are flat wheel face designs with a deeper plunge near the hub of the wheel, this is how the stock wheel is, the unfortunate part is there are not a lot of designs like this that look good.

I got a quote for some S101SC's around Christmas, but I just could not stomach spending 20% of the cars value on wheels. They are extremely sexy though so maybe this year's Christmas gift to myself.

Thanks, this is good insight. BTW, I knew the flow form wheels were not US made, but did not know about the fully forged blanks. Frankly, really disappointing given what they charge per wheel. My personal wheel of choice would be the Lightweight R101, but not at $3k+ a wheel ($12K+ for a set).

You might be better off with a company who makes custom wheels that replicate the HRE’s. Like precision forged. I know Greg can do custom wheels as well, you’ll just need to send pics of the wheels and they can see if they can replicate them
