They claimed they made new molds ¯\_(ツ)_/¯As I previously stated, I had a feeling they weren't going to fit based on previous videos and accounts. Just have them refund you everything and move on. Sorry this happened man.
They claimed they made new molds ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
At this point, I am hunting for every Lotus forum on the internet to spread the word about Aerie unless they come up with a way to resolve this.
A full refund is fair at this point, but I doubt @Aerie will do that.
Did you see where I mentioned my moment of stupidity and believed that @Aerie would make good on their promises and I feel for their sob story about how the disputes were causing bank account issues for them?Bahaha. New molds...ya, ok. Fight it with your credit card company.

It is a few posts back that I mentioned having my head up my ass. Capital One will not reopen a dispute after it is closed (which I knew, I should have listened to one of my best friends who is also a lawyer)
You have every right to be unhappy about these transactions, but let’s be fair, the Tarriff goes to the US Government and it’s supposedly to make America better. Residents of other countries don’t typically expect or assume that a foreign supplier will pay the bill for a foreign (to the sender) countrie’s import Tarriff.I have an update on the rear vents, for which I had to pay import duties (twice now) to receive replacement parts because @Aerie ships import duties COD instead of them paying for me. I have been told they would reimburse me, but yet to see it.
I did receive the shipping notification and the new parts will be test fitted this weekend if delivered per UPS ETA.

They did send some of the refund finally. Still awaiting the rest of the $404.76 they owe me.
They also still owe me updated rear vents that fit properly.
I will update the thread with the replacement side vents and pics.
@Aerie still awaiting a reply to my emails. Why is it so difficult to reply with the information when a customer asks a question. You have released some new parts that caught by eye, but I will just wait for another manufacturer to release the same parts at this point. I do. not tolerate the silent treatment from my wife even, why would I tolerate it from a vendor?
You missed the point. You have every right to be unhappy about these transactions, but let’s be fair, the Tarriff goes to the US Government and it’s supposedly to make America better. If US citizens are unhappy about Tarriff’s and changes to the import rules (such as abandoning the below 800USD rule where you could bring in just about anything below 800USD tax free), you should take it up with the entity charging these taxes, ie the USA government.
Like I said you have every right to be unhappy, I’ve also had some less than perfect experiences, but in the end it was put right. The company in question had these things coming, how they operate etc.You missed the point.
As some info, however they shipped the initial set of parts, I was not charged tariffs. I have only paid tariffs on the replacement parts. Perhaps I was lucky to avoid it on the $6000 worth of parts. My point is that I had to spend even more money for parts that still do not fit.Like I said you have every right to be unhappy, I’ve also had some less than perfect experiences, but in the end it was put right. The company in question had these things coming, how they operate etc.
Nothing wrong with me stating the obvious, import tarriff’s are the receivers responsibility. Complaining your government charged you another fee when the sender sent you a replacement (without receiving anything back I assume), is a little unfair.
I believe US citizens did just take it up with the entitity charging these taxes....You have every right to be unhappy about these transactions, but let’s be fair, the Tarriff goes to the US Government and it’s supposedly to make America better.
