My Specs:
Emira V6
Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a 2024 Lotus Emira V6 First Edition with approximately 4,000 miles, and I’ve noticed what appears to be excessive creasing and wrinkling on the driver’s seat leather.

I understand that some creasing is normal with leather upholstery, but given the vehicle’s age and relatively low mileage, this seems more pronounced than I would expect.

I’m wondering whether this is a common issue with the Emira or potentially related to premature leather stretching, improper upholstery tension, or deterioration of the cushioning beneath the leather.

I’d appreciate hearing from other owners:

  • Has anyone experienced similar wrinkling or stretching on their seats?
  • Is this considered normal for the Emira, particularly at such low mileage?
  • Has anyone successfully had their seat upholstery repaired or replaced under the Lotus factory warranty?
  • If you’ve had this addressed by a dealer, what was the outcome?

I’m planning to have the dealership inspect the seat and determine whether this may qualify for warranty coverage.

I’ll attach a few pictures for reference.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences. I’d really appreciate any feedback, especially from owners who have dealt with something similar.
