As I understand it they are with Lotus HQ and dealers around the country are facilitating the sale. That's what Bell&Colvill said to me.
Edit: the document they sent with the details of the 7 cars does say "B&C Emira stock" so perhaps there are a lot more unsold cancelled orders than we know...
Received this from Lotus Surrey regarding i4 test drive:
There has been another delay unfortunately. i4 Demonstrators and customer cars are now due to be arriving in September. As far as I am aware the lead time is still c.18 months from placing your deposit but I would estimate that every time...
It's crazy that when Harry's Garage did the factory tour and interview with Matt Windle there were i4 engines in the factory but not on the production line. And yet, there are no i4 press cars and no demonstrator's at dealers 10 months later!
Definitely on board with this. Initially I was all in for DV and tan but the pictures I've seen and comments I've read made me waver. This might be the nail in the coffin!
Seneca Blue or Magma Red it is then!
This is the same figure as the A45 and similar to the CLA45 so not surprising really. Unless Lotus were expecting lower figures due to it being de-tuned?
This may be a controversial opinion, and I’m happy to be persuaded otherwise, but I find the Cayman a bit dull and uninspiring. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and everything but it really doesn’t make me desire it in the same way as the Emira.
I was leaning towards the i4 but If that turns out to be true I'll be getting the v6. A mid-engine sports car shouldn't have synthetic sounds piped into the cabin. Especially a Lotus! Everything else about the car is genuine the vents, styling etc.
I really hope this isn't true. That's a big...
The A45s redlines at 7krpm which matches the video but hardly conclusive.
It is. I was there last month and they said they would have both the v6 and i4 in for test drives this summer
I'm still surprised that no genuine videos of the i4 have found their way to the internet. There must be a leak somewhere?
I'm test driving both the i4 and v6 in July/August so will be able to feedback but I'm itching to hear the i4 exhaust note.
The A45s with DCT has Race Start (Mercedes launch control). I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere on the Lotus website or press releases. Has anyone heard whether the i4 will have this or an equivalent?
V6 FE owners were happy to buy the car without it. TBH unless you're doing lots of motorway miles, which seems unlikely in the UK anyway, I'm not sure why anyone would be bothered if it is there or not!
Why would Lotus put this only on the i4 and then not show it in any spec list or on the online configuration? If the i4 did have adaptive cruise control, lane assist etc surely that would be something to make a point of from the manufacturer’s pov

I know some of you on here have the V6 auto and wanted your genuine opinions on it. Is the slower 0-60 on paper noticeable in real life? Is the gearbox slow to respond? Etc.
Just put in the first deposit for an i4FE. I went into Lotus Surrey showroom and they said that they would have an i4 to test drive in July/August. Also quoted delivery time as 12-18 months.
