My Specs:
Emira I4
Anyone else have an issue with their parking sensors? My front left sensor beeps for no reason even where there is no-one in front of me. I've cleaned the sensors, checked for damage and can't see anything. Anyone have any ideas on a fix? Cheers.

Do you happen to have front license plates installed? I have heard from others that if they're mounted slightly high it can trigger issues there (even if it seems it's far away from the sensor).

Yeh, I’m in the U.K. so it’s the law to have a front plate. It’s well away from the sensor though and it’s only the front left which is getting triggered. Really strange.

I believe this topic has been discussed previously on this site. My situation was similar and the sensor / bracket was moved slightly. Problem solved !!!

I wish I had an idea how to do that but I don’t 😂

Mine randomly started after a year. It was also fixed during my annual service by moving the number plate further away from the sensors. Apparently it's a common issue. Not had a single false trigger since.

Yes. Same issue.
Some have reported moving the number plate helps.

Front left as seen from the driver’s seat? I have that, but I don’t have a front license plate or frame. I thought it was related to my just-installed ppf but I guess not

I have it on my RHD car too. Removing the license plate didn't fix it, and installing a towhook didn't make it worse either. It could be with the section of the bumper oscillating at idle RPMs at a certain frequency that the sensor doesn't like. I haven't tried adding sound deadening sheets inside the bumper yet, but would love to hear from anyone who has.
Whatever. My selective hearing automatically filters it out now and it doesn't bug me anymore.
