Will you buy one today?

I will be accepting delivery in 3-4 weeks. Finally, after a year and a half of waiting, I will be getting my Emira. But instead of being totally ecstatic, I feel ambivalent. With the uncertainty of Lotus' future, should I still go ahead and buy one?
I’m fortunate to own multiple “fun” cars. Emira, Porsche GT4, Huracan Tecnica, etc.

The Emira is a blast to drive, with fantastic driver engagement. If I want to improve my mood or leave stress behind, I fire up the Emira. The car never fails to put a smile on my face.

Accept delivery, I don’t think you will regret it.

Lotus has been going broke since the day I bought my first Lotus 25 years ago.
Roughly 25 years ago would be just after the Romano Artioli, General Motors and Proton years, Lotus were trying to go broke then too.

Lotus has been going broke since they were founded - they would probably try to go broke even before that if they could.

In recent years, many regulators have banned certain industrial solvents.

As true visionaries, Lotus have been opposed to industrial solvency for over half a century!

I just spec’d up a Turbo SE in Purple Haze, I didn’t go OTT with the options and it came out at £101,105.00. It looked absolutely stunning I have to say!

It’s a lot of money, but as per my pricing thread is actually competitive against comparable cars. I’m sure some potential customers are being priced out, but I think the QC issues, poor customer service, and talk around financial instability are hurting Lotus as much as anything.

You guys are funny. That's why I come here a lot. I'm not afraid to ask questions because I know folks here have the same interest and passion and support

As a guy precariously close to replacing mine when PH becomes available here, have to ask about the interior, wheels, calipers, and black pack you speced.

No problem!

Interior: Black leather with yellow stitching and highlights, and yellow TDC (I resisted the yellow seat belts!).
Wheels: Black diamond cut (original pattern).
Calipers: Yellow.
Black Pack: Extended lower.

That's my perfect spec really, the only thing I'm not sure about is the wheels but I thought the above option would work best.

Excellent - thanks.

I’m now back again into the agonizing fun of too much time on the configurator, but this time with the (only) given of PH.
