I reckon so (or there is a website glitch). Where there were three boxes with two grey out under the configurator i.e. you could only configure a V6 FE there are now only two boxes with one greyed out for base and the other 'First Edition'.

I checked it in the German configurator. Same here. And I can now choose the i4 First Edition!!! 360 hp finally confirmed now.
I also went to the UK configurator. Prices are online! 75.995£ for the V6 FE, as we all know and 71.995£ for the i4 FE. so "only" 4.000£ of a difference.

Yep you can configure an i4 FE on UK website too.
At £71,995 at least you can see the difference in price between the 'advertised' Base price of £59,995 and the FE

So I wonder if the V6 Base will have the same price difference of £12k and be £63,995 - at that price gap there is some serious considerations whether your 'must have' optional extras will save some money over the FE if all the options and FE badge doesnt matter to you.

So I guess approx £73500 with delivery costs? Not a great saving
Problem is how long will we have to wait for base pricing and to get one maybe earliest Summer 23?

71,995 pounds; 87,995 euros in Germany; $85,900 in the U.S.

I think the difference is only that small because they have to raise prices in general, but won't raise the already communicated V6FE price. The first edition was communicated to be a 3.000£ saving (roughly) over speccing a base edition the same way. That would mean that there are 15.000£ worth of extras in the first edition which seems to be a bit too much. My guess is that V6 base will be 67.000£ and i4 base will be 63.000£.

£12k mark up for FE!? Let’s hope the Base car will honour the £59.995 price!

No, you can't just convert the currency. It will be way more in Germany and the US. V6 FE is 75.995£ in the UK and 96.000€ in Germany for example. So realistically the i4 FE will be 92.000€ in Germany and 91.000-92.000$ In the US.

According to the Japanese press release
The four-cylinder engine is a special version of AMG's M139, an inline 4-cylinder 2-liter direct injection unit; the M139 is known as the world's most powerful 2-liter straight-4 with a maximum output of 211ps per liter, and the Emira version is expected to have 365ps. The twin-scroll turbocharger with roller bearings has been optimized for fast spool-up and minimal lag, and the exhaust system has been designed by Lotus specifically for the Emira. As for the transmission, this 2L straight-4 will be mated to Lotus' first 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) with paddle shifters. This is a joint development between Lotus and AMG.
The Emira First Edition is priced at 71,995 pounds, 87,995 euros in Germany and $85,900 in the United States.
Orders in the U.K. will begin on April 8.

Maybe they just converted it then. Why should it only be 4.000£ cheaper in the UK than the V6, but 8.000€ in Germany and 10.000$ in the US?

So the I4 will probably, give or take a few milli seconds, be around the same acceleration as the V6 automatic.

That's a very significant amount of coin for options. £12,000 between base and FE. Wow!

This makes base look good if you're not after the bells and whistles.

Prices aren't shown on the Japanese configurator either, so we might be seeing different numbers as the web sites are updated around the world.

Remember apparently the options on the FE are totalled to be £15k and sold at a discount of £3k - some of that additional value will be only realised if you select Cup 2 tyres as they are expensive tyres.

With 365 the estimated figure is 0-60 4.2 seconds, if it had 400bhp it would be coming in under 4 - no wonder marketing had to throttle back the output from the motor otherwise the base model would have been significantly faster than the V6.

... and if you don't chose the "expensive" options in your FE config you don't get that value.

We really should have the base config plus options pricing by now to make an informed decision on what's best value.
