Why Dark Verdant Is the Best Colour for the Lotus Emira

Dark Verdant captures everything the Emira stands for. It has presence, elegance, and power without trying too hard. The deep metallic green changes with the light, bringing the car’s curves and lines to life.

In low light it looks almost black, sleek and understated. In sunlight it reveals a rich emerald tone that shows off the bodywork beautifully. It feels both modern and timeless, giving the car a look that’s calm but confident.

Dark Verdant hides dirt well, photographs perfectly, and always looks premium. It makes the Emira look like a supercar even when it’s standing still.

Dark Verdant isn’t just a colour. It’s the statement that the Emira deserves.

Man, you should be selling DV emiras!

DVG was not my first choice, and I had doubts about the color even after I took delivery. Now I love it. In bright sunlight it looks so rich. Stands out without shouting.

It's still epic in any color, but the DV feels like a bit of a lost opportunity.... just too dark. The car really benefits from a contrasting body color, as it highlights the pinch point under the door, and the front/back splitters. If it was only just a bit lighter....

I like DV for the reason is that pinch point under the door makes the car looked squished. DV kind of mutes that line.

I agree with your comments about that pinch line. I wasn't quite sure how to fix it. The extra body/color behind the pinch line made the car look a bit off.....squished as Zardoz mentioned. I came up with a small visual change that draws the eyes away from that pinch point. By adding some black vinyl accents on the lower part behind the pinch it removes some "weight" from the body. SUVs impart this design principle by adding trim accents in lower body to make it appear less tall. Here is a picture of what I did.

It's all personal preference at the end of the day. I like the new bright green💚 and purple 💜 additions to the Emira range. But a bit bold for many.

Get what you love, and love it. Don't be one of those folk that goes on the internet and asks other people which colour they should choose, or which colour they think will be popular when they come to sell 🤦

Live your own life 👍

PS - Seneca Blue is obviously the best colour 😉
