But I did receive an award.
And next week I'm the featured car at this same show.
Feels weird with a bone stock new car.
I don't imagine the guys who put all the custom work into their classics were to happy.

My friend won a peoples choice award for his bone stock STO. lol take the trophy and feel great!

I can see some cars winning the bought but not built trophies.
Lotus cars are pretty rare.
I was at the St. Louis European auto show and it was amazing how many stock Audi A4 A5 S sevens that were lined up
Just looked like a used car lot
Not to offend the Porsche people but all the 911s and Caymans really started to run together and look alike.
I can’t argue with Porsche ‘s performance, but I can definitely argue with their design language.

@Thirdgen89gta car sounds great. I didn’t even know you could get a thicker PPF but I would also do that in the front if I did it all over. I think I have one hit on the lower front that actually dented or chipped my paint through the PPF. Otherwise pristine.

Same happened to my Focus RS. Had 1 spot where a rock pierced the film but didn't damage the paint under, it became a little bit of an eye sore as it looked like a Mole on a white car. The other spot was a rock that hit so hard it tore through the film, and actually took a chunk out of the bumper itself. Nothing was gonna save that. Though the film did protect the area around the strike from secondary damage, so there is that.

I really like my dark vert green but sometimes it’s just a wash of dark colors.
The yellow calipers and badges help but I wanted a little bit more pop.

It's a very good match for color (colour)
not sure how durable. If it grows on me, I may have it professionally done.
Also looking at doing the side scoops. just the vertical bits inside the intake

I really like my dark vert green but sometimes it’s just a wash of dark colors.
The yellow calipers and badges help but I wanted a little bit more pop.

What width stripe did you use on the mirrors? I've struggled with wanting to do something, but not coming up with anything I really liked, especially for the back of the car. Looks like you got a pretty good match to the Lotus logo yellow. I'd like to do something with the mirrors, but I don't want it to look hokey. I pulled inspiration for the sides and front on mine, from the Lotus 78 F1 car, but that's as far as I've gotten.

Agreed. Easy to get carried away and end up looking “boy racer” or autozone/pepboys cheap

I'm the opposite: I think the mirrors detract (draw attention away) from the other pin striping and contrasting color, with that other pin striping looking great against the Verdant Green and to define the edge(s). My eyes focus on the bottom of the car (calipers, centre caps, pin stripe)...but then get drawn up to the "stand-alone" mirrors higher on the vehicle.

But hey, just one person's opinion and fortunately, we all differ with our preferences, otherwise it would be a boring world. Keep up the good work chirowolf!

Obviously the more yellow on a car the better !!!!

I thought that too. but my wife pointed out the from the front the line on the front splitter and the mirrors goes well together.
I also was not a fan of the pinstripes I added to the rear diffuser, but now that is growing on me.
time will tell.
I appreciate everyone's feedback. Obviously, a subjective choice with no wrong opinions

I must have taken inspiration from your comment
"The racing line looks like what I and others did on their FE's, with the exception of the top of the side mirrors being colored. I think it would have looked better with a racing line on the side of the mirror. The interior looks nice though."

Though the full color mirror caps might be too much, but a stripe tones it down a bit.

Try putting the line as an extension of the light, including trimming it to the angle of the lens as though it's an extension of it (only without the red top lol).

I like that too. I thought about staring inboard in line with the signal light then raising the pinstripe above the signal light with a soft curve. A little bit of "swoopiness"

I put on new Falken Azenis RT660+ tires, new rotors, and had an alignment done.
