This'll definitely be affected by the width/time window of each sample. The wider the window the closer to the sustained max G rating, the narrower, the more peak G will be evident.View attachment 75937
Acceleration plots on yesterday’s track outing from Dragy. Car was showing 1.5g max lateral for comparison. Sport suspension, cup 2s
Pretty awesome for a straight road!My g meter hasn’t been very high![]()
0-60mph at 1.1G is roughly 2.5 seconds. You’re all kidding yourselves if you think your cars can achieve an acceleration rate of 1.1G, or 1.5G laterally.
I don't think he claimed his car did 1.1g for 2.5s straight. Just that for a split second it did 1.1g.0-60mph at 1.1G is roughly 2.5 seconds.
Edit: I don't think any road car can achieve sustained 1.1G due to lose of traction without 4 wheel drive or sticky tyres?
Give a racing kart a try! They'reSo having experienced 1.5G on track in my car on turn in … I’d love to experience the 4-5G sustained turning of an F1. Even if it might leave me very sore afterwards![]()
thats exactly what it shows. The numbers are all the maximums.I wish the g-meter remembered/recorded the highest numbers attained for each dimension (unless I’m missing something)…My Porsche Cayman GT4 did that and it was great.
In my car, it resets every time I turn the car off…so I have no saved maximum g-forces. It only shows me my maximum g’s from when I start the car until I turn it off. My previous Porsche permanently kept the maximum values unless I forced a reset.Give a racing kart a try! They're

Ah! Understood. It is the maximum for the drive. Which makes more sense to me since conditions will impact that. But they could have a reset button and make everyone happy. In my car, it resets every time I turn the car off…so I have no saved maximum g-forces.
