Did a mild run with the new exhaust to better demostrate how good a 4 cylinder can sound. It's a lil monster and very quick, you can actually see the front of the car lift under acceleration. However I never went really fast due to road conditions. I peronally dont think most people who criticize the I4 Emira ability to make great sound ever have personally experienced it. I tried to have a lot of driving conditions to see how it is through out.

That's definitely a badass little car buddy. Sounds great and I'm sure it's quicker than quick. Definitely more supercar than the V6. Looks and sounds fun to drive. It makes me, someone who is diehard manual, reconsider his choices and that's saying something. But I just can't let go of not being able to shift with a proper manual. It's a huge part of the experience for me.. but damn this really gives the idea a run for the money.

I totally understand. My journey started with after 20 years of driving my Lotus Elise I wanted to experience what every major supercar was offering. I was ready for something different. I find it to be so much fun. I dont miss the clutch pedal. I get to have control of the gear shifts with the paddles. Driving in traffic is painful anymore. For me giving my leg a break and having everything else was an easy decision. Great car either way

That sounds savage I assume this is non-EU and so no OPF killing the sound. Is the mic inside the car and do you still have the piped engine sound connected to the sub? IS there any drone when cruising at highways speeds?

Is there footage of the engine sound from outside the vehicle? Did you disable the engine noise coming over the speaker?

The car was mic'd from outside the car. There is no speaker sounds at all. There is no drone at all while cruising.

What cell is the downpipe? Or is it de-celled? Any light? Did you use a sensor spacer?

Since I use my Emira for a lot of touring, I would like to hear sound samples with valve open and closed at highway speeds to make sure it’s not too intrusive or droney(sp) for long distance driving. Also would be great to hear drive by samples with valve open and closed. Maybe it’s pride but I feel sometimes that I want to apologize for the way the I4 sounds compared to the v6. For me the I4 was by far the better choice. It allows me to have my wife as a backup driver on long trips. Also it is much faster and better balanced. Just could have a better sound for a $100k+ car. There is a local Alpha 4C that does seem more impressive in a drive by sound?!!?

Touring mode and or driving on the highway sound exactly like the stock exhaust.

Sounds badass! A friend of mine captured my exhaust note from inside of his car recently. It's very hard to reflect how the i4 sounds with just an iPhone, sounds so much better in person.
