US Spec Lotus Update degrades power??

Anyone know if this is true. I was just told one of the latest updates downgrades the power because it was too high or in his words "too fast". Is there any way people can see the list of software updates and what they do online? I hope this isn't actually true but it was a tech that does the uploads that said this. Mmm

yeah i should have pushed back for more detail as the explanation sounds dumb. I can only think maybe the AMG in the USA spec made more than 400hp

Oh yeah perfect timing I just had mine done today so it's the latest updates there were three that had to be done. The tech told me that they've been coming out with updates quite frequently. But I would love to get down to the bottom of this even better ask your rep if he can give you the information for what each of these updates do I think as the car owners we should know what they're updating and what functionality perform

Maybe they are changing the torque curve? They did that on my F80 m3

I asked jokingly, did the updates add 100hp, he responded the opposite. It downgraded it because it was too "fast" which is a weird way to say power igues. Unless he meant top speed was too high. I don't know the whole thing sounds weird to me.

I called my service rep....he said no way. I've got a call into my lotus engineer contact, I'll post after I hear back.

Just a few miles on busy streets. Didint notice much. I will hook up my draggy. I think its the best way really

Lotus F1 - were you able to observe the HP on the infotainment screen prior to taking in? Some US cars are showing more than 400HP- one guy reported 423 HP on the infotainment. If your car max's out at 400HP after update, then they probably reduced turbo PSI/HP. My car is at 350 miles - so have been able to add my cars "HP" to thread.

Interesting postulation (think it lowers boost and timing accordingly to stay at 360HP ), thought I saw a post from a UK member who removed the primary cat. He stated he pickup HP on the infotainment display....(over 360hp).... think it was close to 400HP. Maybe he will see this thread and repost his metrics; might help

Interesting - click on the 'Infotainment HP thread' above. Perhaps your on to something. Some cars may have the Chinese spec in the US essentially the "mercedes CLA45 full HP. Some US cars may havethe 'software update' to a lower HP to 400 vs ~420. Eager to see what mine will hit, but it's going to months before I have enough miles.... I have the TDI tune. It ads 50hp+ so I don't see how it's possible to show exactly 400

Of course it’s a formula / model based on parameters. There’s no direct measurement torque device in the drivetrain somewhere.

It’s not, just assume everything that comes out of your dealer’s mouth is a lie.

Interestingly enough even if we go with that the TDI tune essentially adds boost so even if it was a formula looking at the Boost it should have come up with a higher number but right now it just shows 400
