Software update ruined track mode?

Does that have any impact on manual shifting via the paddles? I also use mostly the track mode but never let it do auto shifting.

No impact to paddles/manual shifting as far as I can tell. Can’t be sure but feels like throttle response and possibly exhaust note at high RPM were impacted. Essentially, the car is EXACTLY the same in track as it is in sport with the exception of traction control. Same shift points, same responsiveness, same sound

There are no variants. Just convertible and not convertible. All same suspension etc. just aesthetic shit and roll bar option for coupe.

I’d suggest trying 600lt, 675lt or 765lt.

You’ll be disappointed but 720s. It’s a 911 turbo s instead of a gt2 / 3rs
Ditto on 675lt

Has anyone confirmed if this update affects the V6 manual? It sounds like it is an automatic transmission thing but wondering if the idle change, etc. has made any difference in the manual cars?

Did some test drives today at low, mid, and high speeds. Can confirm the under 40mph is garbage. The quick acceleration from a standstill up to 100 seems unaffected. I’d even say the 0-60 may be slightly faster but I was not measuring with anything except my seat. The switch from tour to track doesn’t have that same noticeable sound of the engine waking up and drowning out your radio. That parts hurts the most.
As others stated the paddle shifting is unaffected and that’s pretty much where I live now.

V6 auto here - can confirm track mode was impacted after a recent software update. Agreed that it is essentially the same as sport mode now. Any track mode requires paddles (watch the redline so it doesn’t abruptly cut the throttle!)

I will have my v6 manual ecu done shortly, will let you know

Might be ECU having to learn again after an update. Im v6 auto and track mode definitely feels better and louder than sport but maybe I had an update before? My creep is 5mph which was the same update as the track mode changes correct

I had my manual updated not too long ago and my Track mode still increases revs at idle.

Guys - I just came across this subject today.
I had my V6 Auto through its second service and a pile of updates in the middle of September.
Driving it away from the stealer felt completely different. I drive it in track mode basically all the time.
I suspected it needed to learn again but after driving it again on a couple of familiar routes its defo different. i even commented to the wife that it didnt feel right at all - completely unfamiliar.
I shall pointlessly make a complaint to the Dealer.
I will report back at the complete waste of time it was even bothering....

As I figured this might attract views from fellow V6 Auto owners...... i discovered today.
On starting a long pull of 2 seconds on the + Paddle or so will bypass neutral and go straight to first and to auto. Another pull gives manual.
(I suppose I have been a bit of a numpty not trying this in the last 2 years 🤡)

So I have had the update as well. Track Mode definitely feels different, softer, shift points aren't as sharp. With that being said, Sport mode seems sharper. So I'm wondering if they dumbed down Track mode and sharped up Sport Mode? I've only driven in a couple times since I got the car back on Tuesday. Maybe it's in my head.

I just had mine in for recalls and updates and also confirm track mode feels no different than sport mode now. Fuel consumption still seems worse in track mode so not sure if it’s still injecting a bit more fuel without the fun returns with high revs..

I asked a Lotus service advisor, who I believe asked Lotus USA about the changes with the latest TCM update for the V6 automatic. This was their response:

"The change is the auto gear shift points in Track mode would now be similar to Sport mode. It would be apparent if driving part throttle, in track mode, with the gearbox in auto rather than manual mode.

If a driver is actually doing Track driving and constantly on the throttle with hard acceleration and hard braking, then the shift points are the same. Typically, only if driven on the road in track mode, where you may find the old shift maps holding high revs when cruising. If the sport mode maps aren’t holding the revs high enough, then manual mode may be desired..."
