Had my second service at Bell & Colvill today where they installed the latest update that stops the non starting (and connected EML). Its only been a few days since they received, but have installed a few, and no issues reported yet.

ALSO - they confirmed they will be offering an extended Warranty for Emira's once they are out of the official one later this year. It is from them not Lotus, and looks to have more coverage than the Lotus one you could get when buying the car (but no longer). UK owners can contact B&C for details

I've lost track of all the software updates. Any idea when this round was released?(EDIT: very recently) And is there still no way for owners to track what version they have?

Definitely interested in the warranty product. Dependent on the price. As it's their own product they would have done the maths on likely claim amounts and making sure they stay ahead and make money. So curious to find out the cost.

Was released last week - but no idea how we know what versions etc

Don't know cost yet - but worth reaching out to them if you have an early car that runs out of warranty this year

I had the latest software installed last week(Thu) on my I4. No idea what it was supposed to solve, but have noticed zero difference too.

Jon Seal is in the process of coming up with a Warranty for Enira's. Not certain if its just for cars he sells, or for the wider Emira community.
Will interesting to see how the 2 compare

It is explicitly stated on the Lotus website itself: https://www.lotuscars.com/en-GB/lotus-warranty

"Every Lotus car is engineered and manufactured to industry-leading specifications. When you buy a new Lotus, you will start driving with an extensive warranty, covering all key components systems in your car against failure. At the end of your warranty period, you will have the opportunity to extend your coverage, to guarantee years of worry-free driving."

It will be interesting to see what they are charging for it. I'm used to paying around £1,000 per year to Porsche for a 911.

I wonder when that was added? It was only available on purchase of a new car, I had that confirmed from Escalations 10 months or so ago.

I wonder if it will be cheaper for early cars as they've already had everything sorted (me)? 😂

From Lotus direct or a 3rd party via Lotus?
I heard from a Lotus dealer direct, who is negotiating with head office. I’m negotiating terms on my faulty car and they are offering 2 years of extended warranty but have to wait for it to roll out this week. Will be provided by Car Care Plan apparently

Nice one. I'm waiting for it to roll out before contacting Lotus again to try to get the extended warranty as a goodwill gesture for the car not being driveable for approx 6 months in the last year.

Are you considering keeping it now?
