Seat memory

The seat memory has stopped working. The seat motors still work and the position can be adjusted with the seat side controls. Lotus garage says they found a code which indicates the whole seat needs replacing. I find that very hard to understand. Has anyone had any experience of this?

I find that easy to understand - the factory service manual pretty much has you replace any assembly if something is out of spec, with no further diagnosis or repairs elaborated. :-/

Sounds like ReadT is right then. You can't just replace the seat motor module & have to have a whole new seat.
As it's Silverstone they won't be messing you around either.
I guess you either get a new seat under warranty - or if no longer under warranty it's an good excuse to buy Tillet seats. So a win-win

If not under warranty there may be someone that has fitted Tillets (or plans to) that has a spare seat.
