Reduced Acceleration

Had some random limp mode BUT without CEL!

More during hot days, but always happened after "long" city drive like 30-45 minutes after I leave the house

(I have not installed the valve controller yet)

Talked with the dealer a couple time about that and turns out the problem was a engine air filter dirty, we changed it and the problem never reoccurred for me... You could give it a check and see if its dirty!

Definitely, great suggestion. I'd love to graph calculated intake air volume superimposed with intake air temp, requested load, etc. The dealer has done an extended road test for a day or so, *after* replacing the MAF, although I don't think they simulated the conditions where the issue happens. I also don't know if they were actively looking at data or just driving it around.

I will definitely be getting EmiraDS once I'm out of warranty. Other than that I am unaware of an OBD reader that can get juicy info from our cars. Even my friend's $4000 Autel MaxiSys Ultra doesn't have Lotus as an option. Doing a VIN auto scan it thinks it's a "Youngman" (Chinese company with some collab with Lotus) but will throw an error when trying to connect.
Ive not tried live data on the Emira yet but on my Bluedriver reader its supposed to support live data. I've done it on other cars and it works welll. Their website says it does for the Emira..so maybe 50-50. can always return thru Amazon if it doesnt. Plug in Lotus Emira in type field.

Reporting another of the same. And I'm not even through my first tank of fuel yet. No mods. 2026 V6.
Warm day, not hot, after 1hr of mix freeway and canyon roads. Pulling away from a lighted intersection up a relatively steep incline. All the black boxes started coming up and the collision warning bottom right (clear road, nobody in front or to the sides). Stopped and took this photo. Tach shows rpm limited to 4K. All went away after a 5 minute stop, cool, and restart.

I've got a limp mode without CEL before, they were appearing after 45+min random drive (mixed of highway and city) and I was clearing them with a simple on/off.
Can't talk about the collisions warning though (2024 model 1st edition)

What solve the problem was a changing the dirty Engine filter...

Any spirited driving causes engine to get hotter than usual. Lotus has the sensors kick it into this mode so we don’t push the car harder. With these new updates they are covering there ass because transmissions have already been damaged and replaced under warranty on the automatics due to poor cooling design. They certainly don’t want an engine blowing so this is the BS the “drivers” have to deal with.
