Now more people are taking delivery of their cars, it's time to start a thread about the reactions you get from other people.
My experience of 25 years of Lotus ownership is almost everyone reacts positively to our rare and interesting cars. It's common for people to let you out of side junctions (something Porsche and BMW drivers may not experience so much) and for people to slow down or speed up to get behind or alongside for a closer look. You'll get waves and thumbs up, and shouts of "nice car mate" and lots of photos being taken.
Parking up, you'll find random strangers approach you to talk about the car, say how beautiful or loud it is, ask about price and performance or reminisce about the old Lotus they owned or rode in.
There are sometimes more unusual stories, like the Evora owner who had a marriage proposal while filling up with fuel, or the Elise owner who was waiting at a pedestrian crossing and was flashed by two young ladies showing their lack of underwear while walking across.
Sometimes there are the more negative encounters, like the coffee bean shake or people in other cars trying to race you. But these are generally rare and hey, we're more interested in positive stories on here right? Over on another forum, the equivalent Evora thread has 52 pages of stories. I'm sure we'll easily beat that!
