Passenger door won’t open

Hello chaps,


Quick question — the passenger door won’t open from either the inside or outside. Am I missing something obvious, like a child lock?

On the bright side, it actually worked out alright — I was on a date and after dropping her off she couldn’t get out, so I had to play the hero and help her over the centre console.

Once you get the hang of it, climbing over the center console is easy.
If it's not the locking mechanism and the issue is with the opening mechanism, I'd take it to Lotus to have the cable release checked.
