Drive the car today and was switching between sport and track mode. RPM shot up to 6k rpm with little ga peddle applied. Afterwards yellow check engine light came on. Car still drives fine. Can’t find what P2CEF is?

I got the same code last week. Cleared it and it came back within 20 miles of driving. Cleared it again and it’s currently at the dealership for troubleshooting. This is what my scanner shows… I’ll let you know what Lotus says when I pick it up.

cleared mine. Only drove 10 miles but hasn’t come back.

Check engine light still on the dash when I took the car out this morning. Stopped for an hour appointment and when I started her back up, no check engine light. I have not cleared any codes as it has its service tomorrow. Strangely, the car seemed more responsive, even in tour mode than it had since the code appeared last week. I'm puzzled.

Any more information on this code?
thanks
Neil
Both thermostats need to be replaced. Parts are stateside. Still waiting on them to finish the car. It’s been two weeks so far. This code may be an indication of residual sand in the engine casting.

How many miles on your car?

Dealer stated they are now waiting for four non-reusable bolts for the thermostat to arrive from Germany!!!:mad:. Does this sound correct?
