Obsessed Garage is giving away an Emira!
If you are not familiar with them they are the "garage nerds" who are always building out awesome garages with top notch products and they also supply pretty awesome car care stuff/tools on their website for those of us who like to obsess over our cars and their homes a bit.
We teamed up with them on their latest car giveaway promo with some various parts to make the car a bit better. Matt and team have been installing and documenting the process on the OG youtube channel and social media. Check it out and maybe consider buying a an item or two to get entered to win the car.

So, I recently had to replace my diffuser (won't get into why, still a sore spot). I also went with GRP's CF version (Lotus had no OE versions stateside and said a month which likely meant double that) and it is indeed a beautiful, functional and lighter piece. However, I noticed in the install video, they didn't heat shield it. Given, I melted the other one and the fact that the OE version is heat shielded, I did this:

Personally, I would not risk having dry carbon exposed to the the exhaust heat sans any protection. I just used some heat shielding material from Amazon and about 1.5 hours of detail work. Here are a few more pics...

i need to do this too

Do you have any pics of it on the car? How much of it can you actually see once installed?
It's identical to the OEM version as far as final fit and size of fins, etc. So just look at your car from whatever angle, and just imagine CF wherever you would see the black plastic.
