I believe the double pull is a feature according to chatgpt and a forum i read. One pull to unlock and second to open but maybe can be turned off in the settings somewhere..
Yeah I found this as well. Just make sure you tell passengers so they dont try and yank it super hard lol.If your battery is low charge or starting to fail you can get all sorts of weird intermittent errors like these. Worth knowing about in case there's no issue with your lambda sensors.
ha yeh i took my neice and nephew for a quick drive and when id finish i had to remember to quickly double pull the handle before they did, just in case!Yeah I found this as well. Just make sure you tell passengers so they dont try and yank it super hard lol.
With the battery, I had a bunch of errors similar to you, but also gearbox malfunction as well. Took it to lotus and the only thing they could find was low battery on it.
Had the Car delivered by the Dealer yesterday, 1st thing I did was to check the Sun Visors , Yep same problem as reported could hardly move them without forcing !!! . Dealer rep tried and then after forcing wont go back up. So annoying will have to remove before dealers technician * (*posh word for fitter) returns with a NEW set. On the Road tomorrow for 1st run outOh there was something else actually . Tried to pull down the sun visor and I can’t seem to pull it down without feeling like I’m going to break the hinge on drivers side . Also tried passenger and same thing. Am I being stupid? Seems like there some kind of retaining clip
Yeh sounds like if you pull too hard you break them and they don’t fold back up!Had the Car delivered by the Dealer yesterday, 1st thing I did was to check the Sun Visors , Yep same problem as reported could hardly move them without forcing !!! . Normal.another thing which happened the other day was i was pulling from a junc in first gear and at some point, maybe when i hit the red line (or close to it) , it just lost power and said something like shift up or change shift, and i had to quickly change to second gear. Is this normal or do we think its becuase of the engine light trying to keep the revs down?
thanks , good to know . id maybe driven for 10 / 15 mins so should have been but i can check if it happens again.Normal.
Also was the engine up to temperature?
If not then the rev limiter cuts in even earlier - maybe 4,000rpm.
Happened to me at the lights when trying to make a quick get away with a Yaris in the inside lane - embarrassing!![]()
I assume you saw this - if so you need to change up gear "SHIFT" before you hit the rev limiter - before that moving white bar hits the red else the engine will cut power to protect itself (rev limiter). As Nick Sticks mentioned the limit is lower when the car is cold. In lower gears if you have the pedal to the floor you'll only have a split second to react.another thing which happened the other day was i was pulling from a junc in first gear and at some point, maybe when i hit the red line (or close to it) , it just lost power and said something like shift up or change shift, and i had to quickly change to second gear. GRP do nice anodised aluminium oneshas anyone had issues with the floor mat plastic screws? i have one on the drivers side that i just can't keep in. it pushes in and then it just pops out. I have a feeling the screwthread is damaged in the floor and so it"s just not staying in now. whoever designed this needs sacking . Why didnt they make the screwthread part you screw in longer so that its got more area to screw into ?! i'll just add that the actual carpet hole that the screw goes into isn't quite above the actual screwthread which isnt helping . its like i need to cut into some of the carpet edge to get it all aligned but its toughten material so not that easy
Thanks ! yeh ive just managed to find another thread on this actually, i tried search but nothing came up but google had found it : https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/floor-mat-lugs.3085/ the price of the ebay ones are £20 now .GRP do nice anodised aluminium ones
