Coming from from the Elige flavor of Lotus, I am trying to get used to the extra weight of the Emira. I had planned on getting wheels from a great vendor here to lose some weight, but when an Autocross buddy told me a mutual racing friend was starting to make wheels, I was a bit interested. Jeff Wong, a multi-National SCCA Solo champion in Corvettes and Camaros and other cars has found contacts at a high tech factory in China.
He currently only is only advertising through his Facebook page under "Forged 6".
Since he has been racing on them, and other fast friends of his have been too, that was a good enough durability test for me to order a set.
He tries to personalize and you even get a video of your wheels being made.

Anyway, here is the front. We did a lot of back and forth measuring and they emailed me a template to check on the rotor before they started.

Here it is..

The set was a LOT cheaper than I had seen offered, AND it came with the Forged 6 caps, yellow/green Lotus and black/silver Lotus caps, shipped to me for @2600$+/-

Here is OEM versus the new. I was trying to tie in the Type 38, yet realize how different the Emira is to that.

So, to compare, here was the wheel on the T38 Indy car.

Overall, I think a decent "in the middle " comprise.

Ordered new TPMS sensors today, already have some near new take-off Cup tires from the marketplace here, hope to get them all together in the same room soon! 😄

Comments?

Very similar pattern to the Aerie V2 wheels - they look great on the Emira. Post a photo please when you get them on your car with tyres, I like the graphite/grey diamond cut style that's unusual.
Do yours have cut outs in the spokes too like the Aeire ones - I assume to save a few grams?

These look nice. They look more premium than the factory wheels. To me, the factory wheels look like toy wheels from a HotWheels car. They just don't really fit the classy elegance of the overall look of the car. How much do the new ones weigh?

Will weigh soon and get back to you...
