Evening folks, I just moved to Wake Forest from Florida and happy to see so many Emira owners up here. I’ve got the FE in Shadow Gray with Ice Gray interior.

I’ve had it for just under a year and coming up on service. Any suggestions in the Raleigh area?

Why not do your own maintenance? I've done two oil / filter changes, air filter, carbon brakes, 3rd cat delete, valve controller, short shift, shift knob, and vinyl all in the garage ... I'm also in Wake Forest (Youngsville).
The nearest dealers are Wilmington and Winston Salem.... neither are close.
Cheers

I thought about that, but don’t have a lift to be able to get underneath. Grew up changing my own, watched some videos on how to access everything. So not afraid of the wrench, just not sure I can get underneath.

Come on over and use my jacks / race stands

Love the yellow accents. Are they painted on?
Thank you. I did the yellow myself with 1/2" vinyl tape.... the sides have been on for months, I just decided to do the front lip this past weekend before the car show.

Based out of Fort Walton Beach here, soon to be Tampa. Originally from Chapin, SC and travel back frequently

Hey All, I'm in Raleigh and maintain some lists of Lotus owners in NC and surrounding states. We get together for various events, drives, etc., so please reach out if you're not already on my lists. This video about our group just went live today, so I hope you'll check it out. Pete

Found out about the Crossroads Nissan Cars-N-Coffee at the last minute yesterday and took a ride over. A lot of nice cars showed up, -vettes, Porsche, McLauren, etc... And one and only one Lotus (mine)...

We'll try to forget that someone spilled coffee all down my door...(note to self, remember a bottle of water and rag in the future).

I am in western NC, near Hickory and just got my 2024 Silver FE I4 from Mercedes of Asheville about a month ago. Had 3000 miles on it and was sold new in March 2025. The car is a little jumpy in first and second gear when in sport mode and I think it might need the DCT reflash. Does anyone have a preferred dealership to go to in the western NC area. I called Charlotte Lotus dealer, and the service guy was kind of rude. I didnt really care for his attitude. So are any other ones in the area better, easier to deal with? Do you know should there be a cost for getting a DCT program update, if they are correcting drivability issues?

TIA.

Brian

Brian,

Joe here in the Raleigh area. Congrats on the acquisition. I purchased a new I4 in May from Cape Fear and had transmission surging and bucking from 2nd to 3rd gear. My software flash in early fall took 8 hours at the Wilmington dealer…….and cured many shifting and other drive issues. This is my 3rd Lotus and I’m used to some early tweaks and updates. While only approaching 2k miles, all is well and as hoped. If you’re looking for another Lotus option other than Charlotte - you could try Flow Lotus in Winston Salem. Flow corrected a few issues on my Evora, but I can’t speak to their current customer experience. Good Luck!!!!!
