Matt Windle promoted, says he wants to build more cars at Hethel

I am the exact target group for the Eletre as we were looking to replace our 9 yo Model X. However, to me, the Eletre didn’t look great, didn’t seem much like a “Lotus”, and is too expensive. However the absolute deal breaker is that in my 13+ EV experience, 1st gen models have a lot of problems and I want to have a perfect experience when I have to deal with those. I don’t trust Lotus China to get it right the first time and reviews confirmed my fears.
We got a Macan EV.
Without the 100% Chinese ev tariff, it wouldn’t be too bad of a price, but with it, it’s just not worth it in the US at least

There are chat groups for owners in each city. The complains I have seen most from EV owners are the OS are not as smart or as smooth and fast like other Chinese EV companies. I haven't seen any other issue myself, unlike us Emira owners, who have at least some of the issues we all aware of here. I thought I was lucky for a trouble free ownership, no cel or anything, but both sides of the door panels have bubbles recently. Hope this is the only problem I will ever have but most unlikely lol

Lotus EV ownership has so much more perks than Emira ownership. Staff treat them much better with faster service and overall experience. I guess it is because Lotus China makes so much more money selling EV than Emira.
I’m in China too. I’d say the experience is good but it depends on the region regards the experience. Nobody is letting/helping me install my own parts and my local dealer are totally unwilling to work with me on installing aftermarket parts.

For example my front discs were a mess after Tracking my Emira, they wouldn’t help with skimming them or diagnose the issue. Their answer was new disks and new OEM pads (yeah, the same OEM pads you can kill in a couple of sessions), so instead I got a small shop I use to skim the disks instead and they are now working well with the Endless pads that I’d already fitted. It was also a big job getting them to recalibrate the exhaust valve, as they were unaware it’s even possible.

For the drivers, yeah, for the drivers of SUV’s pottering around the city :ROFLMAO:
