Lumbar supports not working?

So today was my fourth time driving an emira. For the first time longer than an hour. While the seats didnt bother me the first two times driving the Emira, I actually got lower back pain in the second two rides. I hate lumbor support and never use it in any car. Even completely deflated the Emira seats seem to stick out into my lower back and I cant get a comfy/rounded seating position.

I read this thread but I am not exactly sure what to do. My Emira will arrive in about 3-4 months and while I love the tillets (I was able to test-sit them because my dealer installed them in an Emira) I am not really keen to drop another 7k…

What would you guys suggest to be the best solution to my problem? Completely remove the blatters? Will this the stop the seat sticking out so much, even though the blatters are empty and quiet narrow?
Tillets? It’s an interesting one.. I had a back ache the first maybe 10 drives and now I find the seats pretty comfortable… including a 2hr drive.

I had the same experience. On the first few drives in the Emira, I was getting back pain and felt very uncomfortable. But after a couple of months, the pain went away, and are now reasonably comfortable. My trick was to skooch my butt well back into the seat, so that the lumbar area hits my back as low as possible. It could be that the foam has flattened out over time as well. And naturally, the lumbar is set to zero.

Over time the foam gets crushed down. This is the only thing that helps the stock seats. I think the alcantara seats have less of a pronounced budge. Not sure why.

I'd get the lumber supports checked out before you take delivery of the car. There have been quite a few examples of them, not being in the right position and I think one example where 2 were on top of each other so made the issue even worse.
Mine have started to be a nuisance, so I plan to get them looked at the next time the car at the dealership

Ok thanks I will wait and see after I get my car and drive it for a few weeks before making any decisions

Just like others have stated.. they are from the factory on top each other. Very easy to open up the back of the seat.. flip the one bladder up and now you have a lower and upper lumbar. It’s night and day difference. Here is my before and after pics. Hope it helps a bit.

If anyone is in the US-tristate area, especially northern NJ, I don’t mind helping modify it with you sometime.

I'm glad this thread became active again. I always wondered why both the lumber controls seemed to do the same thing.
I don't know if we can blame Lotus for this one, I assume the seats arrive fully assembled at the Lotus factory. I wonder if anyone has fed back to the Chinese supplier about this..

Night and day as it doesnt stick out that much if fully deflated?

Doesnt look that simple if I compare the 2 pictures… dont you have another plastic piece installed/added?

Is there any change somebody could do a short video? That would be awesome
