Lotus Survey - Consumer Panel

extended warranty? guys, I got my car new with paint exfoliating on the rear bumper and I had to pay for it. The car is 3 months old and the issue was reported 2 months ago. Now if that's not something be covered under warranty...

Why did you pay for it?

The paint of the car is covered by warranty by Lotus, no need for a specific law, BUT Lotus policy wants it to be reported by the dealer as soon as they get the car. If the car gets delivered, the warranty still applies "for issues that might not be caused by the user". Of course the original dealer did NOTHING on the car, including reporting the faulty paint. I'll send the invoice to the original dealer, but if I wanted the car back, I would need to fix it, and Lotus did not answer the warranty call. This sucks, but it's the way it is. The "law" only applies if you have no other chance and if you really want to go down the rabbit hole. Be sure I will not stay silent with the original dealer. But yeah, the guys were talking about Lotus giving "extended warranty" but they (Lotus) can't even cover a standard one.

I finally received my "Thanks for being patient with us gift". It was only 1.5 years late and when it arrived the Emira print was crumpled. Almost looks like a 3D print...

Wonder what I would write/comment if asked by Lotus.
So there’s still hope!
