My Emira replaced my Vantage. I do miss the noise that the Aston V8 makes and the engine has a lot of great character but I don't miss poor sightlines that were sacrificed for that gorgeous body.

For sure, I bet no one complains about "sitting too high" in the VH2 platform. Not as severe as a modern Camero pillbox, but certainly Mr. Callum enjoyed a high scuttle.

When I first drove my Emira, the low scuttle instantly reminded me of being 8 years old in my dad's '86 911. The view makes the road so much more inviting!

Toyota just unveiled an all new GT with a twin turbo V8 and a transaxle. With the assumption that this V8 will be Euro compliant, perhaps this engine, in an NA configuration, could be the V8 that Lotus is looking for?
