aaah thanks... thats not my area of knowledge unfortunatelyThe mockups were done in photoshop.
Many simply dislike that you had the balls to try, whereas they do not. Thanks, I posted on the facebook group as well and have been getting a very negative reaction. Quite surprising as everyone I had shown the car before and after really liked it. Maybe they were just being nice. I've done a good bit of design work in my life so I supposedly have good taste.
The idea started when I saw the Evija as in my opinion it just doesn't really even look finished without the accent pack. Too a lesser extent, I kinda felt the same way about the Emira.
Either way, I'm definitely happy with the results, just thought others would like it too.
Thanks, I actually posted it again and have gotten an overwhelmingly positive response this time. Go figure. Many simply dislike that you had the balls to try, whereas they do not.
I dig it.

I’m casually debating doing something w rear of car. Rear vents are just too small, not proportional, makes car look toylike (to me) and unfinished.
What’s tricky is the existing trim is gloss black. So if I do matte cf or even satin or matte vinyl, I have the finish clash on trim.
Not sure what best path is.
I like what you’ve done and I think we likely have broadly similar ideas about the design, which overall is fantastic
On the sides around Intake, Did you consider following the two lines to their intersection?I did satin vinyl on the vents, and gloss on the roof and under the tail light. I personally like the subtle contrast between the satin vinyl and gloss vent trim, but I think gloss black would work there as well if you prefer it to match. I don't think you can really go wrong either gloss, satin or matte, just depends what look you want. I was originally going to go matte, but decided on a happy medium and would do it again the same way.
If you do decide to do something like this I can give you some tips as there are some tricky areas to make look right from all angles.
That was my first instinct, but I didn't think it worked with the vent placement. I went through several versions similar to this and never really loved any of them. It was months before I came up with the idea to do more of a 4 sided shape and I still think it's the way to go. This was all about a year before I even got my car and other than a few small tweaks, the final version ended up pretty much just like the mockup. On the sides around Intake, Did you consider following the two lines to their intersection?
Pardon my awful iPhone touch screen scribbling, but sort of like this (except obviously accurate lol):

I’m not sure it’s better. It’s tricky in that top right corner either way
I agree - I like the front, not sure if I like or don't like on the back, and I wouldn't do the side, but things could look different in real life.My instinct is "hard pass" on most cosmetics like this, but the hood accents and rear bumper vent 'extensions' definitely add drama in a way that doesn't detract. Don't think I'd do it on my Nimbus, but on a flashy color I do think it's a very interesting personalization!
