Is anyone here running Nitron Fastroad or Clubsport suspension?

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone has personal experience with the Nitron NTR1 Fastroad or NTR1 Clubsport suspension yet. I've got the touring package, and it's way too soft for the track. As this car is street driven a lot, I don't want to go too aggressive, but I'd like to do better.

Fastroad is stiffer in front than the sports package, and similar in rear to the factory sports suspension
Clubsport is a lot stiffer both front and rear.

If you have either of these suspensions, I'd love to hear what you think of it.

I know this feeling well. My Elise ride quality improved markedly when I installed the Nitron 1-way suspension years ago, despite the spring rate being significantly higher than the Lotus sports suspension.

I have the Nitron clubsport, and I am patiently waiting for all the snow to melt before I can give some feedback on how well they perform.

I just got a set of Nitron ClubSports without trying them, based on the excellent experience I had in my Elise.

So far, only street driving, but I'm going to track it in a couple of days.

On the street, it made the front end really come alive. The touring suspension that I had was very ponderous, and it took the suspension a while to take a "set" when cornering. Now, it's much better. It feels almost as nimble as an Elise. The weight is still there, of course, but it's got that same nimble turnin feel.

The ride is much more stiff than touring, borderline too stiff for street driving, but it's just on the good side of that border.

It's impossible to keep stock ride height. We had to lower my car 1.5 cm, and that's at the max possible ride height with the ClubSports.

I'll post some track impressions and videos later.

Really appreciate your feedback. Especially on the street experience. From purely the street perspective only, if you would do it again, would you go with a slightly lower spring rate? Like something between Fastroad and Clubsport?

I'd like to ask that question now since you haven't had track experience with them yet. Depending on how much better they control weight transfer, I'd imagine they may color your outlook differently

It's too soon to tell, but it's more comfy than my Elise on its Nitrons and I drove that one for 16 years with them and loved it. I'll be driving 200 miles to the track so I'll form a strong opinion then. It's quite a bit firmer and you feel every crack in the road, unlike with the touring suspension, where you just hear a noise.

For what it's worth , this is about a 10mm drop from a sport suspension car....spaced 12mm.
