How did you get/choose your forum name?

Mistral is a powerful cool wind which sweeps down the Rhone valley to the south of France. I just like the name.
Both Maserati and VW used the names of winds for their models at some point. Maserati had the Mistral, Khamsin, Bora, and Merak while VW had the Passat. The piano manufacturer Petrof also uses these names in their current grand piano model range.

Many years ago when PCs were first introduced into the workplace, all user names were 8 characters long based on your full name. Kzawilin was mine , I have used it ever since then for my forum name.

chirowolf????
lets see. My last name is the same as a certain dog ancestor, so that is the last part
chiro? either I have a something to do with hands (chiro = Latin for hand) or its a profession

Fun fact. my forum name on lotus talk was chhirowolf. I was so excited when I got my Evora back in 2011 I misspelt my forum name and it would not let me change it, so chhirowolf it was

OK, I give up............ give us a clue :)
Beachbum in the UK huh. yeah I get it. Being in Florida myself, I should have come up with a more appropriate forum name like... Skibum. 😉

For me, the first part is because I'm Canadian. And the second part is because my buddies young son called it an Oreo the first time he saw it.
I thought, huh?
But in his mind, the top and bottom black pack are the cookies, and the white middle is the filling.
Kids are so innocently smart.

I'm young, so its my online Gamertag and thus all my "internet name" are "Sanguineous" or a derivative if the name is taken. No link with my Yellow Emira.
Where the name comes from is a longer story tho!

Years ago I went to Everest Base Camp. When I got back a close friend of mine started calling me halfway cause I only made it halfway up the mountain...had to change to spelling cause apparently someone else had gone to EBC before me and also got called halfway

Medical Officer on Ambulance Unit 518 - not creative at all..

Eclat does not look ratty at all!
I had to do a ton of work on it and it wasn't really that old! Rebuilt rear suspension, welded the holes in the fabricated trailing arms, new trunions in front hubs, new rear bearings, new driveshaft UJs, new 4th gear, new headlight pod bobbins, fix leaks in floor, new wiper drive box...

Still loved it though and handled like a dream when sorted!

Mine's pretty obvious. Keeps people from misspelling it. I'm also fond of my avatar.
