Headlight indicator on instrument cluster?

Is there supposed to be any indication of when the low beam headlights are on? My car just displays the "position lights" symbol (see "8" in attached) in any headlight position switch from "0" to auto. The blue indicatordoes come on with the high beams.

Was sort of expecting a change in indicator from DRL to headlights.

Nope, there's no indication that the lights are on, other than seeing what they illuminate. It's silly.

I believe it turns on when you manually turn on the lights. Most people leave it in the auto setting.

Head Light On dash light always ON ?

hi, just got my emira.... i noticed that the Green Light ON light on dash is ALWAYS ON , regardless of whether the headlight or parking light is ON or OFF....is that normal ? if so, what is the utility of this light? does it go blink or out if some bulb is out ?!? it doesn't bother me much...

Unfortunately it seems like its always on regardless. Very dumb to me. Wish could turn it off (even with dealer s/w) since it basically serves no function.

Its the everything is okay light. As long as its on everything is okay.

Haha! But I have no idea whether the car is on Daytime Running light mode or actual Headlights On mode. I guess I am one of those that don't know when my headlights aren't on.

I just find it odd that it behaves this way when all the other cars I have seen does it differently, including a recent Volvo.
