Haptic Buttons to Physical Push Buttons

I think the physical button array is nicer looking but am not sure what the advantages are otherwise. It's not like the haptic controls have no physical press to them. I may not be quite seeing it. Tell me what to look for on the stock controls to understand the negative impressions, please.

Every time I wave my fingers over the haptic buttons something unexpected happens. At least that's why I changed them out.

Cheap Chinese "quality" control all to save a buck or three. Not acceptable in my book. I will likely not buy these buttons.
These are the factory buttons fyi and now factory optioned for the 420 sport. Every part of your interior steering wheel is then cheap Chinese quality.

Buttons usually wear (my e36 buttons wore, my b8 Audi s4 buttons wore) but it takes years of greasy fast food fingers touching it day in and day out so I highly doubt it will wear within the life time of you owning the car.

I have never had any issues with buttons wearing off in any of my cars, but I've been in several friends' and family cars that were worn out. The culprit is very easy to spot...if you eat in the car, have greasy fingers, use sanitary wipes (alcohol) to wipe down steering wheels, et al, and or your hands and then rub them all over your steering wheel or console, then ya, they will wear. I see it with my wife's cars. I told her to stop using them and since then (been a couple years) no issues.

If your hands are clean, zero concern. If you're a slob who eats in cars, have heavy fingers, and/or use hand wipes, then ya, buttons will wear.

Lots of worrying over nothing.

With stock buttons touch sensitive buttons, I was always brushing them inadvertently and changing things - then having to take my eyes off the road to work out what just happened.

You can wear out something printed on the surface of a button. But the legend on the steering wheel buttons are not surface printed. You would need to actually wear away the whole button itself on the Emira to wear away the double shot lettering on the Emira steering wheel haptic buttons.

Would you mind taking a pic for me?
I would return them if that is the case.

Mine are the same. Left one is dimmer. I will take a pic at night. It bugged me at first, but the difference in lighting is a far lesser nuisance than the touch-buttons.

Where did you source the buttons from? Some random eBay company, GRP, or Bell & Covill (Link & Co. OEM)?

I believe they are all manufactured by Lynk & Co.
