The US configurator shows Emiras equipped with a Fatigue Detection system. I don't believe it was equipped on FE and 2025 US cars and assume it is new for 2026. Was this equipped on non-US cars? If non-US cars had it, anyone have issues with it; functional or reliability wise? Is it safe to assume the system works with a camera that monitors the driver's eyes/head position?

Probably not a camera, I guess it will be a sensor in the steering wheel that tracks weird movements like in older cars…

Many of the 'new' features have been listed in owner manuals "if fitted" for quite some time. Here's the Nov 2024 manual pg.110.

My MachE has it, but it only activates during selfless automatic driving mode. If you look away from the window for to long it will beep and tell you to keep looking at thee road. above the steering wheel there is a little module that tracks you.

It could be the same one that is the Volvo cars. Much as we know a lot of this car is volvo under the skin (or even above.)

We just got a Ford Explorer EV and this has it. Its horrendous, tells me I'm tired, when I'm perfectly ok
Overall far too many nanny type assistance tools on the car, going to work out what I can get turned off over the next few days

I could see me not buying a new “normal” car again to be honest, even an ICE powered one. I think my little Fiesta ST which is coming up to three years old will be a keeper for daily duties; even if I decide to opt into the company car scheme at some point I’d most likely keep it.
