I concur. Front license plates are an affront to humanity.I refuse to mount a front plate. That’s committing a crime against style, and the victim is everyone on the road passing by my car. I won’t have that on my conscious.
I’m in California. In 25 years I’ve only once gotten a (very modest) fix-it ticket for the lack of license plate (on a Tesla) and indeed I had a bracket just for that, so I showed up at DMV to demonstrate the now-mounted plate which came off as soon as I got home.My front plate has a very special place in my car. Mounted on my GRP bracket and in my trunk. For possible “emergency” fix it ticket avoidance.![]()
I too am in California and hoping to avoid the dreaded trip to the DMV by having the tools on hand to install it on the spot. Not sure that will work out for me, and of course won't work if I get one while parked and away.I’m in California.
