Just had my three year service done at Lotus Bristol (Rybrook).

Was shocked to see what they are now quoting for service pricing, This was an A service which 2 years ago was £430, B service a year ago was £780 yet they wanted to charge me £795 for an A service yesterday. Unbelievable. I got them down by £100 but really they know I had nowhere else to go at short notice. I should have asked when booking in but also with such a huge jump they should have told me!

I asked how much the big C service will be and they said £2.2k....

So not impressed by them - chap who dealt with me was polite and professional and felt sorry for him having to defend that increase.

Williams Autos are a Lotus specialist in Bristol - they quoted just over £400 for A service and £800 for b service, £1.5k for C service. Looks like I wil be doing some of the C service myself and just asking Williams to do the difficult bits like the Fan belt and trans/filter drain.

Not nice being taken for £300 more than your expecting not a pleasant surprise.

Ouch. Not looking forward to my next service, no idea which one it is, car will be 3yrs old, but at those prices I'll be looking at a specialist to do the work
Thankfully I have a number of them close by to me, so can get a few prices to compare

I'd be interested to hear of other specialists' rates for the C service as I've also just had my 3 year service/MOT completed at Lotus Bristol and was pretty shocked at the price given how little is included. I had my BMW M340i service+MOT the following day and it cost me £310 for essentially the same scope (oil+filters), albeit with some discount for F&F.

I also had my passenger door replaced again due to bubbling, and to be fair the paint shop have done an excellent job of matching and blending.

I am awaiting a second door replacement and now have some blisters on a rear panel. Out of interest, did your body-shop give any indication that Lotus have come up with replacement panels that will not fail again in the future?

It was organised through Lotus and to be honest, I didn't ask. I did ask them to change the drivers door at the same time in case that had the same issue but unsurprisingly they said no  I did however get it in writing (email) that Lotus will honour warranty issues on paint for 5 years for early Emiras (mine is a 23 plate) so I've got a couple more years before I need to think hard about what to do next.

I had my C Service done at Lotus Silverstone in July, cost £1,580 with a courtesy car.
Earlier on I had an A service at Lotus Silverstone in October, cost £400 without a courtesy car.

Bell and Colville aren't too far from you either. I know they are no longer an official Lotus Dealership but they are really well respected by those that know Lotus.
They may be a bit cheaper.

I wrote a comment on a similar post:

Which you can do your own comparison to see how much they overcharge you.

In Quebec there are two Lotus Dealer and both do not share the same hourly rate, so I encourage you to follow the other's advice and reach out to other dealership.

B&C are still a registered Lotus Service centre, so official stamps and all

Those are the prices I was expecting and I'd paid for A service before - but seems they have all increased their prices considerably. I'll shop around for the next service and even consider dong some of the work myself like the Oil and filters leaving the hard jobs to the garage to sort. I'm not paying £1500 for a service let alone £2.2k.
