Door Paint issue when buying

Hello Everyone

When purchasing a new Emira is it common for the seller to have proof the door has been replaced to address the paint bubbling issue?

This is the first I've heard of it, but I guess it's possible. Are you saying you are worried about a car having this proof or are you looking for a car that would have this proof?

Despite the issue occurring on multiple cars, I think it's still a minority of cars that have suffered it.

I made sure that when I got my doors sorted that the dealer gave me a detailed receipt for the work done. So I would be able to give proof if I sold the car.

Great suggestions above and would also add that you pull the VIN for full details on work completed PRIOR to purchase.
