Emira on order
I am scheduled to take delivery on Wednesday @ Lotus of Houston. I don't recall which member shared but do have a checklist broken down by Interior, Exterior & Test Drive. As I have only owned Porsche's, what high level things should I be looking over before driving away? Uncertain what type of QC to expect from factory after months of disarray.

I made this, if it helps...

Interior
  • Seats/Carpeting/Headliner. Trim, tears, stains, defects etc
  • Glove box
  • Owner’s manual/Warranty guide/Service Guide
  • Trim for scratches – esp drivers side near door.
  • Windshield edges hairline cracks
  • Check interior lights
  • Select accessory mode on the ignition
  • Check the dash / warning lights show and cycle off as appropriate
  • Wipers/Washers/Lights
  • Check USB charging points on the lower console and rearview mirror for power supply
  • Cycle through and check infotainment screens
  • Check interior lights for proper function
  • Audio Radio, MP3. Check each speaker
  • Ensure all ignition switch modes work. Accessory, start, stop.
  • Heating and A/C system – esp. fan speed.
  • TPMs
  • Check trunk & engine area for general condition
  • Accessories: Lotus branded battery charger/tire inflation kit.
  • Ask about software upgrades (Hill assist fix)
  • Info on previous owner, service history – any extras.
  • Check MOT & Reg Date https://totalcarcheck.co.uk/
Exterior

  • Paint work, esp. any sign of bubbling – feel doors and engine cover.
  • Check the key functions (lock, unlock, auto window down, trunk unlock etc.)
  • Open and close both doors and trunk. Full open to closed.
  • Windshield edges hairline cracks
  • Check panel gaps paying extra attention for the area around the duck tail, doors and headlight area
  • Check wheels and tires for general condition
  • Ensure exhaust pipes are centered in the exhaust surrounds
  • Look and check under the car for undertray air inlet scoop damage
  • Gas filler cap for operation and debris
  • Oil, water, brake fluid.
Test Drive

  • Sustained, 4K any knocks or taps.
  • Under acceleration, braking and cornering loads, note any strange sounds or vibrations.
  • Cycle through each driving mode. (Tour, Sport, Race) to ensure function and display change occurs
  • Alignment issues or steering pull. Steering wheel should be level
  • Note any vibration (that’s not normal) coming through the steering wheel
  • Use all the gears including reverse. Check for smooth operation (esp. Neutral to first a full stop)
  • Check reversing cam
  • Under braking no pull.
