Hi Everyone,

I have been browsing these forums for a while now and took delivery of my Emira in April after a 3+ year wait. It was a long wait and almost pulled the trigger a few times on other options but something kept telling me to hold out for the Emira and I am so glad I did. Been busy since taking delivery, but finally getting around to a proper introduction.
Car is still well within my intended "break in period" , just getting familiar with the car but its been great.
Plans are to keep things simple as far as modifications go. Eyeing the GRP short shift kit, 3rd cat delete w/ or w/o controller and call it a day for a while. Ideally would do this after 1K miles with an oil change as many on here have done.

I am located in the Rocklin/Roseville area of Northern CA. I know there seems to be much more of a presence in the Bay area, but if anyone is in and around the Sacramento area it would be awesome to meet up. On that same note, I'm starting to think ahead to routine maintenance. I know Trackspec is about 100 miles from me in Fremont and seems to be an excellent choice, but does anyone have any other recommendations of shops in the Sacramento area that may be able to service the Emira?

Looking forward to meeting anyone local in the future and learning so much from these forums. Everyone on here is so incredibly helpful and informative.

Chris

Welcome to the club. Glad you are enjoying the car - you probably deserve to after a 3 year wait.
I spent a month in Northern CA many years ago but on the opposite side nearer the ocean, Russian River and Clearlake area. If I remember correctly you have some lovely roads to drive in North CA - I'll always remember my drive down the Pacific Highway at sunset - some amazing views.

Thanks! Yes, definitely some good driving roads in the area. I grew up near some great driving roads in Southern CA but looking forward to exploring more up here. Hard to beat views along Pacific Coast Hwy!

Welcome! I’m just moving to Sacramento area with my Seneca Blue 6MT Emira. Do this route. Wonderful drive!! Ignore the hotel at the end!!

Congrats on the Emira!! Some awesome roads in the Sierra foothills. A must stop is in the town of Lotus.

Be sure to check out the Sacramento branch of the Golden Gate Lotus Club. They have a regularly scheduled dinner get together, drives and occasional go karting. https://gglotus.org/ggchapter/ggsacto.htm

Also, the GGLC is still offering new Emira owners a complimentary 1 year membership (12 months) - https://gglotus.org/EmiraPromo/

Congrats!
We are just over the hill from you in Reno if you are ever up this way.
