Carplay volume glitches with driving directions

Apple Carplay is a set of protocols that both sides must implement. If either side gets it wrong, then yeah, some workarounds are possible on the other side, but why put in the effort if your side is "correct". Given that my Ford, Porsche, Subaru all work flawlessly with the same phone where the Emira has issues, this is Lotus' s problem, and yeah, why wait on Apple to make Lotus-specific workarounds for bugs? If I was an engineer at Apple, I'd be yelling at Lotus to fix their junk.

The CarPlay sort of acts like when I retrofitted my 2016 bmw idrive with CarPlay. It didn’t containers enough memory in the unit to drive the CarPlay properly but was using the newer chipset to allow CarPlay functionality. Maybe they didn’t give the head unit enough memory for CarPlay…

I’ve been dealing with Apple CarPlay issues similar to what’s been described. Last week I took my car in for a CEM and TEM update. Took a few hours to complete and after that CarPlay seems to be working fine. Granted it was only about a 30 minute Test drive, but it worked. I’m hoping Lotus finally got there programming sorted.
