My Specs:
Emira V6
Hi all, this is my first time on any online forum so forgive me if this isn't very good.
I will be collecting my new (pre owned) Emira V6 on 1Sept and am looking forward to finally becoming a Lotus owner after nearly 50 years of wanting to own one!
My obsession began in 1977,when,as a spotty 16 year old I went with some mates to see the new James Bond movie The Spy Who Loved Me.
Roger Moore (Sauve as ever) drove a white Lotus Esprit that he drove onto the beach to get away from all the baddies, which subsequently turned into a submersible when he drove it into the sea.
Sadly my new Emira doesn't have these capabilities but I would like to keep the acid rain, pigeon s-it,leaves and other detritus off it.
Could any of you guys (and Gals) recommend a good quality all weather cover for this car.
I've been looking on the usual online sites, and there are loads from £35 to £250?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Many Thanks.

Welcome and congratulations. Be sure to post pics when you take possession.

I recommend you search the forum as this has been discussed a lot. I couldn’t stomach the local price for the official cover (I think Boardwalk asked for $1k+) so I got this: https://a.co/d/2IRxk0p

However it sounds you want an *outdoor* cover so that will not work for you.

This is the Lotus outdoor one:

If you are stored you car outdoors you may want to look into getting a car port rather than just a car cover. At least it is worth investigating the pros and cons of an exterior car cover vs a car pot.
