❓ QUESTION Anyone go from. BMW G80 manual to an emira?

I know these two are rarely cross shopped. I have a G05 X5 as a daily and wanted something fun. I don’t like the C8 and I’ve had a deposit on the emira since July 21 and finalized my I4 order in October 23. BMW’s are just familiar to me and this may be my first lotus. The M3 is option #2 if the lotus is pushed back again. USA customer.

Please note I don't have a G80 M3, my dad however does have an X3M that I've driven a lot and the G80 M3 was a car I was cross shopping vs the Emira before I decided to go all in on the Emira. The main question I have for you, is what are you looking for in a car? There's a lot to like about both cars, but ultimately it the best decision is dependent on what you want out of the car and what your use case may be.

Just spotted this late so you may have cleared this up. I have a F82 M4 competition, so the precursor to the G series, and have a Emira coming in a couple of weeks. I will be keeping the M4. I’ve only had 3 hours in the Emira on test drives so have a limited insight. That said I really don’t think these cars are easily comparable as they are fundamentally different especially in size (obviously), power delivery, steering feel and handling. So the experience in driving is about as similar as they look. I’m happy to give my thoughts on anything specific but your best bet is to go and test drive and compare and contrast.
