Here you can clearly see what the A/C does after a while. Judging by what others are saying, we’re all experiencing the same issue. After some time, the A/C system completely fails: no cold air, no strong airflow, and it becomes completely unresponsive to controls. The photo is from yesterday; I took the car on a trip to the south of France, and this is the result. It’s unbearable—the car is basically a sauna, with absolutely no cooling whatsoever.

That’s not good at all especially in those temperatures
Lotus CS, totally useless and fobbed off. Dealership tried to extort monies from me and in the ended i went into the independent network and got my a/c issues resolved. New condensor installed and a/c working 100%
good luck everyone who is still having issues and these a/c problems will not go away on these cars

Lotus CC never seem to learn. The combination of some inherent model issues coupled with awful customer service….is it any surprise that the sales aren’t what they could have been.?
You can clearly see here that the maximum cooling temperature you get from the AC is 25°C—not, for instance, the 8°C a standard AC ought to deliver (and consistently, at that). The AC cuts out completely after driving for a while. When starting the vehicle after it has been parked for a long time, everything seems to work normally; the AC blows at 8°C and the vents respond to controls as expected. It is only after driving for some time that the AC fails completely, turning the cabin into a sauna—a situation that is simply untenable.
have you brought the car to an independent A/C specialist to see if they can assist you?.
its totally unforgivable to leave you waiting all this time with no resolution. i too would be cracking up and to an extent i was, as i got nowhere with Lotus or dealer and got my issues resolved thankfully. you have done well to have patience thus far, i think you should look outside of lotus and its network if you can. best of luck

Hello guys, I have a similar problem, but with some caveats. I have not been driving my car much in past months, and today it's 43°C in Rome. The AC was working fine for the first 20 minutes, until I parked the car. Then, when I went back to it, it was only blowing ambient-temp air. My car only had a very few kms left of fuel, so I thought the system must have prevented the AC to work in order to keep the car going as long as possible. After I stopped and filled-up, the AC...kinda of worked in a mixed way. Sometimes it would blow ambient-temp air, and sometimes the AC would work but NOT ice cool. I then went a little bit over 2k rpm for a couple of corners to see if that helped, and maybe it did something, since the AC air temp dropped down a little (is this even a thing?). When I finally parked the car in my garage, the AC was working, but not as it used to. It was "better than nothing". Do you know if having an empty tank actually prevents the AC to work properly or is it just a fancy idea of mine? Do you think that a faulty valve or a leak somewhere might take to this behaviour? Man this car never stops having issues.

Cold air for a while and then dies away (temp and reduced airflow). If I turn the A/C off the fan speed will come back in about 10 seconds. I can then turn the A/C back on and the air chills. I get maybe 10 minutes before it freezes up again.
But when it's working it's excellent. Very cold (possibly too cold and causing the issue. )

What are you setting the thermostat to? We don’t see temps over 100F (38C), But it does get hot lower 90’s.
I usually run my car at 68F and the outside temps are about 93F and I have no problem with condenser freezing up. Maybe try setting yours to 72F ??? Or I hate to say it, “Or higher” just to test it out.
It’s frustrating as my initial message was reporting a slow leak that was hard to find and I keep getting really freezing results…only to find it slowly failing after a month.
