This outlines issues for C8 Z06 owners but the point about both cars having their new-car issues, is well made.
I don’t remember these issues with the C8 Stingray and I owned the inaugural 2020 year and later, a 2023. The Z06 is a big step-up with its brand new engine in particular, and other innovations. I expect the new ZR1 C8 to have a lot of quirks as well, since it’s again a big step-up into the “unknown”, from the C8 Z06. This will be repeated for the final C8 variant: the ZORA, which will likely be a rare ultra-powerful/expensive vehicle packed with new performance features.
For those craving HP, top-end or 0 to 60 speeds, and a ++ throaty exhaust note (ie. traditional American muscle, but with better handling), unlike the Emira with its different sports car feel and cornering.
Nice to have 2 vehicle designs with differing personalities for different sports car tastes, although the price-point for these upper-end C8 variants doesn’t compare at all, since they cost WAY MORE than the Emira.
