Just had my Emira paint corrected and ceramic coated, and I want to maintain the swirl free paint finish.

I'm told drying is probably the biggest cause of swirl marks/light scratching, and one solution is to 'not dry it' but instead use filtered water for the final rinse that will evaporate without leaving any water spots.

In the UK there's a company called 'Race Glaze' that sell such products. Anyone use a water filter and recommend? Or not worth the cost, time, maintenance and hassle to use one during the wash process?

I don’t know about filtered water, but swirls are a possibility every time you touch the paintwork. So the wash before you dry is just as likely to mark the paint. Good washing practice/regime is the only way to avoid swirls.

No, what you do is use a leaf blower to dry your car as much as possible after washing it with normal middle class water. With the ceramic coating 99% of the water just rolls off.

Unless you live in a hot climate where residual water will evaporate in a minute. It won't work as the residual water will collect dust from the environment which will result in water spots/rings all over the car. That why even with a powered blower. it is still recommend to dry the remining water with a MF towel as soon as you blow off most of the water.Just make sure you use clean MF towels and wash them afterwards and keep them in a bag so not to collect dust on the towel between wash.

I washed my work truck yesterday in 96 degree heat. I could have used some demineralized water for sure. I ultimately said F it to staying outside any longer than need be and have some spots but its a white truck and will be dirty again in a week so Ill tough it out.
