‘12V Battery Service Required’ message

Just had this issue. Car was on the tender the whole time. Not driven for 3 weeks. Any idea what causes it?

None… I’ve been dealing with it for months. Everything works fine, battery seems in good shape (checked voltage at various stages of power cycle). I pulled the negative terminal for 10 minutes and enjoyed several drives without it or Telematics showing up. Put it on the tender, first drive this message came back. Weird thing is it showed up multiple times on the same power cycle, instead of just latching. Telematics didn’t come back, which I thought was also weird.

I’ve left it off the tender for about 1 week and going to run it up later this week and see what happens.

The 12V telemetrics battery won't charge off a tender. You need to drive the car for 30 minutes or so to charge it.
I think this is also fixed in a later service patch.

Yes, telematics is a different error that the subject line though. This is a “12V Battery Service…” message. I just thought it was strange that the Telematics message didn’t reappear after being off the tender for a while and not on a trickle.
